A local icon since its opening 16 years the Aubergine team has recently released a new menu. Their success can be attributed to impeccable European fare with Mediterranean touches.
On this menu you’ll find old goodies, like the famous chicken filo parcel and big eye tuna, alongside a variety of new and modern dishes. These are guaranteed to satisfy, offering a delightful dining experience, with stylishly presented dishes suitable for all taste-buds.
Popular lunch and dinner specials mean you can enjoy fine dining at a finer price. A three-course dinner for only $35 per person; includes a starter, a main and any dessert of your choice from the extensive menu. The $20 lunch includes a starter, any meal of your choice from the restaurant’s lunch dishes, served with a glass of wine or beer.
The people who work here deserve a mention. It’s true – exemplary service means everyone’s needs are perfectly catered for.
When I stopped by, manager Basil James said Aubergine’s kitchen team and service staff are currently the best he’s ever had.
The cornerstone of Aubergine’s cooking style is traditional food done well. Highlights include sirloin steak, seared Aoraki salmon, chicken and mushroom pasta, duck confit, plus many more.
Aubergine is a good venue for groups of all sizes, catering for up to 150 people with groups able to split into their own private areas.
Winning a 2016 Trip Advisor excellence award reinforces the successful formula is working. With such a solid team, and delicious fare, the future looks bright at Aubergine.
