SUSPICIOUS APPROACHES
North Shore Police are asking parents and family members of school children to take care when posting on social media and ensure posts are accurate. This comes after a number of posts on local Facebook pages about suspicious approaches to children, which police say contained inaccurate information. Area Commander inspector Sunny Patel said while the posts are well-intentioned, they could cause undue anxiety, confusion and concern. Any suspicious approach to a child should be reported immediately and police should talk with children about what to do if they feel unsafe.
