Landslide tribute to legends

There’s a landslide coming to Waitara next month, but it’s nothing to be concerned about.

Fleetwood Mac tribute band Landslide will rock n roll their way into town to pay homage to the music legends. The group, consisting of Andrea Clarke (lead/backing vocals, percussion), Cole Goodley (drums), Lee Cooper (bass/backing vocals), Dylan Storey (guitar lead/backing vocals) and Tanya Hiskins (acoustic guitar, keyboards, backing/lead vocals), are seasoned veterans of the stage.

‘‘This will be our fourth year, coming up, as Landslide,’’ Andrea says. ‘‘We’ve done a lot of shows, travelled all over the North Island. It’s been great.’’

The show consists of two 75-minute sets with an interval, and sees the band performing all of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks hits from over the years. ‘‘We play the songs everyone knows, from Rumours and Tusk and so on, a mix of things that gets everyone moving.’’

Landslide play at the Waitara Service & Citizens Club, 16 Queen St, on Saturday September 3, starting at 8pm. Admission is free - yes, you read that right.
