FROM YOUR PAPER

As many readers will be aware, Yvette Batten is no longer a journalist with the North Taranaki Midweek.

We have faced many changes in the last two years and Yvette decided she would rather concentrate on some of her other interests. She is a talented musician, an ardent animal lover and inveterate traveller as well as being an excellent photographer and journalist. I will miss her quirky sense of fun and bubbly personality.

It will be several weeks before Yvette’s replacement arrives so if you have a story or photo idea please email them to me at kath.brown@fairfaxmedia.co.nz and I will do my best to oblige. Be assured we will be covering the stories that matter to you.

This week we feature two recipients of the Volunteer Awards and hope to bring you some more in the coming weeks. We also talk to the proud new owners of the house built by Taranaki secondary school students under the auspices of Taranaki Futures.
