NEW PLYMOUTH POTTERS: Our feature potter for the month of February is Kathryn Gates. She has been working with clay for more than 30 years and channels her creative energy by developing forms on the wheel and sculpturin­g large slab forms. The gallery, situated at 288 Courtenay Street, New Plymouth, in the historic Te Henui Vicarage, is open from 1-4pm at weekends and other times by arrangemen­t. GABLES: The North Taranaki Arts Society’s exhibition at the Gables Gallery features member artist Norine Ford Dixon. Norine’s work includes both pastel and acrylic paintings, and for this exhibition her art reflects impression­s from her travels. Her collection is entitled Athens and Rome - Architectu­re. The Gallery is open 1 - 4pm on weekends. ALL LINES CONVERGE : An exhibition of work by Aotearoa New Zealand artists from the 1970s to today, with key works from the Govett-Brewster Collection.
