For all your contracting needs

-

Matt Lewis Contracting, in operation since 2015, is owned and run by Matt Lewis. Raised locally on a sheep and beef farm in Okaihau, he has always been passionate about the farming and agricultural industries.

Matt knew early on that he wanted to be involved in contracting. He has vast experience and has worked for other local contractors in the past, which involved fertiliser spreading, maize harvesting and all sorts in between, as well as utilising a wide range of machinery to complete the tasks at hand. All of this has built on Matt’s experience and knowledge of the local area as well as client’s needs.

Matt was in England harvesting both grain and maize and also bailing straw when he got the opportunity to return to the Far North and purchase his own business. He has recently upgraded his digger to a Sumitomo SH130, to meet his client’s requests better. As well as the digger, Matt has a Hino tip truck and transporter, which supports varying client needs and requests. He ensures that all equipment that is used is of a high health and safety standard.

Matt Lewis Contracting specialises in a wide range of general earthworks and metal cartage all over the Far North to meet his client’s needs.

Matt has recently completed numerous jobs including a new driveway, with a rock wall feature the length of the driveway, as well as many other landscaped features throughout the property including a large rock retaining wall; contouring of a kiwifruit orchard; house sites and landscaping; lifestyle property maintenance; forestry roading; and a diverse range of work for local farmers, such as drainage, race ways, fence lines, effluent ponds and dam building.

Matt prides himself on his work ethic and customer service and when questioned about the best part of his business he says ’’meeting a diverse range of people and seeing satisfied customers at the end of each job.’’
