Get ready for winery tour

-

Wine and music lovers will appreciate The Winery Tour.

Three of the country’s finest singersongwriters hit the road in January for The Winery Tour - Brooke Fraser, Bic Runga, and Benny Tipene.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, The Winery Tour returns in 2017 to hit 12 outdoor venues around the country including Whangarei’s Toll Stadium on February 5.

Brooke Fraser and Bic Runga have each won the APRA silver scroll for Song of the Year, with Runga set to be acknowledged with a legacy award at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards in November.

With huge hits under her belt like Sway and Get Some Sleep, Runga released her debut album Drive in 1996, and since then has released three more criticallyacclaimed albums and won 20 Tui awards, more than any other Kiwi solo artist.

Los Angeles-based Brooke Fraser will return home to headline the tour, following the release of her new album A Sides in early November. Fraser, who has received 18 NZ Music Award nominations and awards, is best known internationally for her hit single, Something in the Water.

‘‘The Winery Tour is quite simply a dream to play. I am looking forward to getting home to play all the favourites from my career to the best fans in the world,’’ Fraser says.

Opening the show will be

Winery Tour newcomer Benny Tipene, who became a household name after competing on X-Factor NZ, following up with tracks like Make You Mine.

Tickets go on sale October 31 at an Early Bird price until November 30. Full price tickets go on sale December 1.
