Latin sounds helping Hospice

The sounds of Latin America are coming to Kerikeri with the Matecito Latin Band performing to raise money for Hospice.

Kerikeri fitness group Latin Fit have organised the performanc­e to raise money for Hospice Mid Northland.

‘‘The event is going to be a fundraiser for the Hospice as many of us have been touched by the generosity and amazing work this group of do,’’ organiser Luz Fisher says.

Fisher’s father in law passed away a year ago with cancer.

‘‘The family were very thankful for the incredible work Hospice did to help him and help the family in those difficult days.

‘‘The event is going to be a fun night for a great cause. The band is amazing and they will have everyone dancing all night.’’

All proceeds will go directly to Hospice Mid Northland. The organisati­on provides palliative care for patients from Taupo Bay in the North to Towai and from coast to coast including South Hokianga.

The event will be held at the Kerikeri RSA on March 3. Doors open from 7pm.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased from Carpet Court, Kleen + Press, Mr. Taco and Hospice Kerikeri. Door sales will also be available.
