ARTISAN AWARD

Bay of Islands Smokehouse has won an Artisan Cuisine award for their smoked mullet. Bryan Blackburn and Leanne Hardy’s Paihia-based business scooped the annual award run by Cuisine Magazine, which this year attracted over 500 entries. The judges praised the moist flesh of the mullet and its good flavour.
