Hurunui Netball: The Hurunui netball season comes to a close with the finals day in Hanmer. Greta Valley Quiz Night: The Greta Valley Friends of the School (PTA) host a General Knowledge quiz with an Olympic themed dress up. Team of 4 costs $50, BYO drinks! Mainland Big Band: Enjoy a great night out with Christchur­ch’s longest-establishe­d, big band-style Dance Band playing music you will know and love at the Kaiapoi Club from 7.30pm. Tickets: $10. Candle making: Leithfield, 2 – 4pm. Lynnette Creagh will show you how to create your own ‘one-of-a-kind’ candles using colourful paraffin wax, or natural beeswax.
