A tale of addiction

-

Pat Buckley will share his cautionary tale at a special meeting in Rangiora this weekend.

Hope Community Trust and Rangiora Baptist Church are hosting Pat Buckley of Amped4Life Trust on August 28.

Buckley is a drug educator with a very raw, real and hard hitting message.

He comes from over 15 years of addiction to hard drugs, and retells an incredible and tragic life story.

In his mid-teens, Buckley was introduced to drugs and his life became the living hell that is addiction.

Injecting heroin regularly before school became normal.

He tells from first-hand experience the harsh reality and danger of drug use.

Now rehabilitated and drug free for almost twenty years, Buckley works to combat and prevent the spread of drug use among our youth and society.

Working with school, families, business and community groups, he stands at the top of the proverbial cliff.

He graphically illustrates consequences from his own experience, challenging the choices we make.

This is your opportunity to hear Buckley for yourself as he visits Rangiora for the first time on Sunday.

Get to the Rangiora Baptist Church, 111 East Belt, from 10am to hear Buckley talk about his life, faith and personal journey.

At 6pm, Buckley will again talk about drug abuse and his message of addiction and hope.

All are welcome at either event but discretion is advised.

There will be graphic images and shocking information presented.
