Canterbury Country premier cricket returns with the first round of the one day competition on Saturday. After failing to form a Hurunui Combined side, Amberley declined the promotion which allowed Oxford to maintain their place and meet Lincoln on opening day. Defending one-day champions Sefton host South Malvern, Southbrook travels to Greendale while Leeston Southbridge are at home to Weedons. The nineteam Senior B competition starts a week later on October 8.
