-

The Rangiora Photographic Society’s annual exhibition in Waikuku.

Rangiora Photographic Society is holding its exhibition at Gallery ID in the historic Brick Mill in Waikuku from the October 7-9.

The society’s annual exhibition showcases the beautiful work of over 50 North Canterbury photographers and accompanying artists.

More than 100 prints will be on display, including a print by renowned New Zealand fine art landscape photographer Andris Apse, the societies patron.

His work has been exhibited in almost every corner of the globe and resides within many private and public collections.

A central focus of the exhibition will be a selection of work by Oxford photographer, Catherine Boyd, who was a recent recipient of the Dave Wethey mentoring award.

In addition to photographic work there will be displays by well known pottery artist Renate Galetzga, Pounamu carver Jon Jeet and Martin Cole who creates metallic art through ‘bits and bobs’ —providing depth and variety to the exhibition.

An objective of the exhibition is to draw visitors into the magical world of the artists and leave them spellbound through the visual experience.

The vast majority of the mounted prints and canvases will be available for purchase. There will also be the opportunity to win a stunning landscape work by Tekapo-based fine arts photographer Kevin Bowie.
