Jump into the A&P Show

-

The Oxford A&P Show brings the action this Saturday.

One of the main attractions will be the Man v Beast v Machine Challenge at 1.30pm where a shepherd and his dog will take on four different scurry pony teams, and a four-wheel drive vehicle.

All six competitors will individually take on a scurry course, racing through cones and against the clock, looking to avoid time penalties to record the overall fastest time. The crowd can try to predict the winner, with a correction selection drawn out to win $100.

The FMX03 Motorbike Freestyle Shows at 10am, 1pm and 3pm will be a flipping good time, with the riders producing all manner of aerial tricks.

The show also welcomes back the Oxford Area School’s Kapa Haka Group who will perform at noon, the Paddock-to-Plate; Butcher, Chef and Wine presentations in the President’s Marquee at 10.30am and noon; the entertaining terrier race in the main ring at 1.15pm; and the Grand Parade at around 2.15pm.

Inside the hall will be the cut flowers, vegetables, home baking and preserves, photography and art and crafts.

There will also be shearing demonstrations, horses and ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, donkeys and mules, dog trialling, poultry, woodchopping, highland dancing, alpacas, a rare breeds display, a farrier presentation, vintage machinery and a host of art and craft stalls and trade sites.
