CHAIR, PHILIP MCKENDRY:

With his wife Judith, McKendry farms 200ha arable property near Methven. BAgSci (Hons1) from Lincoln and is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors (loD). Elected to the ATS board in 1998, elected chair in 2010. Former founding chairman of Barrhill Chertsey Irrigation Ltd. Former trustee Advance Ashburton. Currently deputy chair of EAnetworks.

BAgSc from Lincoln and a Nuffield Scholar. Farms at Akaunui, Eiffelton. The intensive cropping farm includes a dairy farm operation, with the property now 490ha. Chairman of Eiffelton Irrigation Scheme, the Ashburton Community Water Trust, the Mid Canterbury Farmers Charitable Trust. Director of Mackenzie Harvesting and of Willowby Engineerin­g. A former board member of Federated Farmers and Irrigation New Zealand.

With his wife Janine Peters, farms at Methven where they milk 580 cows. Graduated from Lincoln University with a B.Com in Agricultur­e. Elected to the ATS Board of Directors in 2011. Director of DairyNZ and Pastoral Genomics, as well as chair of the Dairy Environmen­t Leadership Group. Was a provincial dairy chair with Federated Farmers and national president of New Zealand Young Farmers Clubs.

With her husband Hayden is a dairy business owner leasing 420 ha at Dorie and milking 1700 cows. Has an honours degree in Animal Science and has worked in a range of rural profession­al jobs including policy manager for Federated Farmers, R&D Programme manager for Meat and Wool NZ and developer for Dairy NZ. Has completed the Fonterra Governance Developmen­t Programme, the Food and Agribusine­ss Marketing Experience and the Kellogg Rural Leaders Programme. Currently vice president and Dairy chairperso­n of Federated Farmers Mid Canterbury, a trustee on the FAME Alumni Trust Board, board member of Business MidCanterb­ury, an intern director for Connetics Ltd and a member of the Institute of Directors.

DEPUTY CHAIR, IAN MACKENZIE: ALISTER BODY: JESSIE CHAN-DORMAN: INDEPENDEN­T DIRECTOR, SUE LINDSAY:

New Zealand business leader and an internatio­nally award-winning executive. Recognised as New Zealand Young Executive of the Year, Southlande­r of the Year and a World Young Business Achiever award winner. Career has taken her from running the family sheep and cropping farm in Southland to the leadership of CRT Southland. The co-founder and CEO of Think Actual which undertakes research at the cutting edge of talent and market insight. A member of the BNZ’s Growth Programme Faculty for eight years, has been a presenter on Purdue University’s (Indiana USA) executive leadership programmes, the ICE HOUSE and Rabo Bank agribusine­ss programmes. Extensive governance experience including the board of Genesis Power, Netball Southland and the Dairy Women’s Network.

Elected to the ATS board in 2012 and has held leadership roles within AgITO Mid Canterbury and Young Farmers. Chairman of Pro-Active New Zealand Limited, director of Valetta Irrigation Limited, a past president of the Ashburton Toastmaste­rs Club and in 2013 enrolled with the Institute of Directors. Member of the Hinds Plains Land and Water Partnershi­p. With his wife Pennie farms 1600 cows at Lagmhor.

Graduated from Massey University with a Veterinary degree in 2000. Initially working for Riverside Vets, opened her own companion animal clinic in 2004, growing to five clinics around the lower South Island over a 10-year period - now part of a nationwide group. Previously a director of Pets n Vets, CareVets, and chair for the Christchur­ch After Hours Veterinary Clinic. Elected to the ATS Board in 2012 and with her husband and family owns an arable and store lamb farm at Dorie.
