WASP WATCH

If you find a wasp nest on or near the ground, wait till dusk when the wasps go into the nest, then tip a barrow full of fresh grass clippings on top of it. The clippings will heat up and kill the wasps, and the lack of oxygen will contribute too. Alison Henry, INVERCARGILL
