FAVOURITE KITCHEN APPLIANCE: An induction cooktop and pyrolytic oven. It’s lovely to have a cooktop flush-mounted with the bench and so quick to heat up. Oven cleaning was my most hated chore, now I don’t need to even think about it. Bliss!

OUR BUSINESS IS: Called Crime Scene Cleaners, we do forensic cleaning after homicides and suicides. We also clean up after hoarders and do methamphetamine decontamination.

A WELL-KEPT SECRET ABOUT THIS AREA: The Friday Ohoka Farmers’ Market is fabulous – lots of local produce and interesting stalls, well worth a visit.
