How you can easily and safely cut 1 cubic metre of firewood in 20 minutes

-

THE INNOVATIVE SOAR HORSE created by NZ lifestyle block owner Steve Blakemore really lets you fly through your firewood sawing thanks to its patented hydroclamp, turning a hard job into a fast and easy one.

The easy-to-use hydroclamp uses water as a moveable weight to securely hold a large bundle of wood, from large to small pieces, during chainsawing. Various lengths and diameters of wood are combined in each load, with their butts secured under the hydroclamp. Continuous downward pressure is applied, stopping wood from spinning around – or flying out at the operator – so your saw won’t jam either.

This productive tool means you can cut your way through a cubic metre of firewood in 20 minutes with no need to refuel, it’s so much easier than sawing one piece of wood at a time on a saw bench, and much safer than holding wood in place with your foot.

Other great Soar Horse features mean you minimise the amount of effort, bending and stretching required. At one end is an adjustable idling box which firmly secures your chainsaw during loading and unloading, and a tray catches the sawn wood so all work stays at a comfortable height.

All these features are greatly appreciated by happy customers from Kaitaia to Te Anau, men and women of all ages on farms large and small.
