THE PLANTEC ONE plants out container-grown seedlings fast and precisely, and can be tailored to suit your requirements and terrain.

It’s made by SFOGGIA, Italian manufacturers of precision mechanical seed drills, vegetable planters and precision transplanters. SFOGGIA create machines to suit any farmer or grower’s needs.

The Plantec One is a tractor-drawn planter designed to plant containers up to 7cm through mulch (plastic, bio plastic or paper). A seated operator places the seedling in the cups as they rotate. While closed and holding the seedling, the beak-shaped cup pushes into the soil, piercing the mulch (if present). The cup opens and then lifts out of the soil, leaving the seedling in place. A couple of rubber wheels that follow immediately press the soil around the seedling rootball, ensuring the seedling is planted firmly.

Production/hour can be up to 3000 plants per unit.
