Drive down any new subdivision in New Zealand and spot the difference. There isn’t one, or any.

AMERICAN AUTHOR Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr Seuss) let the cat out of the hat when talking about conformity. Why fit in when you were born to stand out?

He would no doubt be bemused looking at the cookie cutter conformity of many home offerings from those pretending to offer ‘choice and things JUST the way you want it.’

On closer inspection, it’s not difficult to spot the difference and single out a company that truly understands what it means to offer real choice. It’s something that has been in Customkit’s DNA for decades.

When we talk about the Customkit difference, our story is simply this.

If you don’t have ideas, don’t want to be different, insist on conformity, and dread having to make a statement about YOU, then Customkit might not be the right building company for you.

If, on the other hand, you want your personality and tastes to shine through, then Customkit has got the plans for you says managing director Michael Anselmi.

“We take pride and delight in offering people solutions that suit them, not us. For over 26 years we’ve created homes and other lifestyle buildings that look superb in the New Zealand landscape. But that still offers loads of room for individuality.”

Part of being different is also pushing the bar in adopting new ideas, and packaging these innovations to make them widely available.

Building salvation

While some are now saying pre-fabrication is going to be the salvation for house building in New Zealand, Customkit has been following this path from the start in supplying high quality kitsets. The savings in time, money, mental wellbeing and energy are staggering. Again, it’s part of being different says Michael.

“The Customkit team has a wealth of knowledge and experience, plus commitment, to be at your service to develop plans that suit any land and, more importantly, budget.

“We love to dream but also are practical in what we offer people. Rest assured that anything we develop in consultation with you can be built, delivering stunning results that are functional.”

Many companies talk about the benefits of a ‘turn key’ operation, but in truth that is a way to lock you out of your home until it’s finished. Michael says Customkit handles things differently.

“With us you have the flexibility to be involved as much, or as little, as you want. You can decorate or finish your home as you want.

“Moreover, you can take advantage of special deals we have, or ones you instead want to pursue, to purchase lighting, bathroom/laundry fittings, your kitchen, flooring, wall coverings, paint and insulation.

“We’re also team players and seamlessly able to work with people you choose to be involved or we can bring to the project.

“In short, for those who dare to be different, we’re on precisely the same page.”
