Practising good biosecurity and keeping the coop clean is important for your flock’s health and wellbeing. Incorporating a good quality disinfectant such as Virkon®S into your cleaning regime is a helpful way to minimise the risk of disease for your birds.

Virkon®S is effective against many diseases that backyard poultry in New Zealand are at risk of being exposed to, including: · fowl pox; ·

Marek’s disease; · infectious bronchitis; · enteritis; · fowl cholera.

It’s also effective against the most prevalent salmonella strains responsible for food poisoning and campylobacter.

Virkon®S can be used when cleaning surfaces in the coop, feeding and drinking equipment, clothing, and footwear that may have had contact with other flocks.
