The floor sur­face must be per­fectly level to weigh your ve­hi­cle. Shims can be used un­der the scales if nec­es­sary, as small vari­a­tions in level can throw out the read­ing

En­sure tyre pres­sures are set equal

Driver must be seated in the ve­hi­cle dur­ing weigh­ing

The re­quired quan­tity of race fuel needs to be present in the ve­hi­cle

Bounce the ve­hi­cle on each cor­ner to re­move any un­wanted sus­pen­sion bind

Tyres must re­main cen­tre on the scales

Re­con­firm tyre pres­sure to en­sure ride heights re­main con­sis­tent
