On the day of the event, 27 drivers showed up, despite the crap weather threatening overhead. But, if you ask us, the clouds kind of suited the rundown and derelict venue, giving it an even eerier feel. Between the burnout pad (the old courtyard for the cellmates) and a drift track, which worked its way around some buildings, there was plenty of action going on, and, with a somewhat damp surface, cars with any power could throw down and their tyre stock would remain in good supply. There were no winners, no trophies, and the only judges to impress were your mates awaiting their run. It was more about throwing down some runs with good friends or popping tyres on the burnout pad in a very laid-back and chilled environment. Yes, it rained a little, which was not ideal, but everyone stayed the course and had a very fun day by all accounts, just as Sean had hoped.

Will it happen again? Who knows, but, for those who did get to attend, it will go down in history as a damn good riot.
