FLAT NATS HEADS SOUTH

Organized purely for the love of Subarus, the Link Flat Nats 2017 (to be held Labour weekend, October 21 and 22) will shift southwards to Christchurch’s Mike Pero Motorsport Park after a national poll gave the management team a clear message — take things south! Even the North Islanders dug the idea, with organizer Joe making the road trip down from Wellington.

You can expect to see all the regular features on the programme. Day one is all about hitting the track for a proper shakedown, before the focus is flipped towards a night-time hardpark, cruise, and photo shoot. Day two will feature a show and shine event, grasskhana, and tug of war, followed by the end-of-day prize giving. Event sponsors will also be on the ground to dish out deals and advice to the Subaru community, and there are whispers of a barbeque and photoshoot at the Link headquarters … but perhaps the most exciting part is this year’s international flavour — planning is underway to have two Australian Subaru clubs, RS Liberty and Because RS, jump the ditch to join in on the Labour weekend antics.
