Slow by plate but not by nature, Allister Benson’s GSR was a nine-second dragster that laid claim to the title of Australasia’s fastest 4G93 (1800cc). With an STM-built engine backed by a PPG gear set, the GSR would run a best elapsed time of 9.92 before Allister on-sold the car to younger sister Kat Benson. Kat would convert it into a time attack machine and cut her teeth in circuit racing before building her current CT9 Evo.
