BIPPU
Originally owned by an elderly couple that bought it back in the early 2000s, this Celsior was the definition of a minter when Liam Dijk got his hands on it. And he swore through and through to himself that it would stay in that condition — it only took until that same afternoon before he was photoshopping wheels onto the big-bodied roller to see what they’d look like. It was quickly slammed out with Yellow Speed coilovers and the rear mufflers were cut off to hear the hum of the 1UZ. It would wear various sets of mismatched Japanese wheels until it was sideswiped by a truck. Written off, but not structurally damaged or deregistered, Liam bought it back and pieced it back together with panels he imported through work. It took a year or so from then to find the current set of wheels — 20x9.5-inch front and 20x10.5-inch rear R35 GT-Rs in shadow chrome — which only just tuck with camber in droves. On its guts and munching on the big ol’ 20s, Liam told us that it’s still far from finished, with a few more tricks to come yet.
