Your vertical mount needs to move freely to compensate for camber shifts during your suspension movements, so the attachment point to your base should not be rigid. We made up two flat tabs and used a ny-locked bolt not nipped tight. This also gave us the clearence for the jack side handles to slide through. We mig welded the mount together but it could be bolted if you have no welder on hand.
