DAN THE MAN Dan Carter’s average of 14.2 points per test is not only the highest achieved by an All Black, it is the highest of any player in history. He retired from test rugby with an average goal-kicking success ratio in excess of 80 per cent. It puts everything in perspective when it is realised that he almost scored more points than Andrew Mehrtens and Grant Fox combined.
