JAMES TE PAIRI [KING’S HIGH SCHOOL]
Already in the Highlanders Under 18 side, second-five Te Pairi is in his fourth year as a First XV player and even if he isn’t named captain will be a vital leader for King’s.
A touch rep with electric feet and an eye for space, Te Pairi has developed a top passing game and reacts well on defence.
Whilst not a big frame, national honours are a distinct possibility as, in addition to his silky skills and speed, reading the game is one of his key strengths. No longer with such a young squad, 2017 is Te Pairi’s year to take his game to the next level.
