It wasn’t the winning return he had hoped for, but Sonny Bill Williams was delighted nonetheless to be back playing XV-a-side rugby for the first time since the 2015 World Cup final. He managed 25 minutes against the Highlanders on his return – impressing with one clean break and a couple of big tackles.
