BEST BUY: CALEB CLARKE
He’s no stranger to the Blues set-up, as he’s come through the development programme and played for Auckland last year, but the 18-year-old who starred with the New Zealand Under 20s has the potential to make a big impact. At 107kg and 1.89m, he is a big man and he has pace too, having clocked 11 seconds for the 100m as a 15-year-old at Mt Albert Grammar.
He appears to have the calm temperament of his father, former All Black and Blues player Eroni, and could go a long way in the game. Clarke the younger will add balance to an outside back division which relies more on pace and evasion than pure power.
