Mt. Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Gardens

Situated between Oita City and Beppu City – approximately 15 minutes drive from the former - Mt. Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Gardens is a natural habitat for about 1100 Japanese Macaque monkeys.

A handful of times each day the monkeys are fed wheat and sweet potatoes and the experience is unforgettable.
