Nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are standard. Exceptional all-terrain performance plus pushbutton selectable Terrain Response. Electric power-assisted steering. New eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with intuitive controls and an expansive connectivity package Petrol derivatives use an all-alloy Si4 2.0-litre engine with 177kW and direct fuel injection. This offers sixcylinder levels of performance in a compact package that reduces weight and cuts CO2 emissions by up to 20 percent, compared to conventional larger capacity engines with a similar power output. Meanwhile, 2.2-litre turbodiesel derivatives are available in either 110kW TD4 or 140kW SD4 specification. These engines produce 400Nm and 420Nm respectively. All engine derivatives are specified with ZF’s state-ofthe-art 9HP48 nine-speed automatic transmission. Designed and engineered at the Land Rover Development Centre in the UK, the Discovery Sport will be produced at the company’s award-winning manufacturing facility in Halewood, Liverpool, in the United Kingdom. It's available for sale in New Zealand now alongside the existing sevenseat Land Rover Discovery.
