August 29 2015 Woodhill 4x4 Mosh Pit Comp;

at Polaris 4WD Park, Rimmers Road, Woodhill Forest. Starts at 10.00am. 4 Classes; Standard Class: Road legal, no mods or lif ts or Tyres over 33-inch ( as printed on your tyre). Mud Tyres are allowed. No cut Tyres. Modified 33-inch: Road legal, as factory engine, any other mods ok max tyre size 33-inch as printed on tyre. No cut Tyres. Modified 35-inch: Road legal, as factory engine, any other mods ok max tyre size 35-inch as printed on tyre. No cut Tyres. Open class: Anything goes as long as it’s safe, no max on tyre size. Open class will be run in order of tyre size. The organizers will have the final decision if needed. Normal park entry fees apply, of $ 60 per vehicle. To enter the Comp there will be a fee of $ 10 per driver. This means a vehicle can be entered twice or more with different drivers ( husband and wife battles!!). No fee for spectators. September 12-13th 2015 Novawin Force4 Tuff Truck Challenge;

hosted by Costa Plenty 4x4 Club. Teams event for Club vehicles in teams of three. Strict vehicle specificat­ion with production A Pillars, windscreen and doors. Venue located only 20 minutes from the iconic Mangataino­ka Tui brewery. Scrutineer­ing Friday with competitio­n Saturday and Sunday. $ 160.00 entry fee per vehicle and includes prize giving dinner Sunday evening at Makuri Club. hosted by Auckland Offroad Racing Club ( AORC) and to be held in the Ngatira Forest located between Tokoroa and Putaruru. Formerly the Taupo 1000, it now has a new home. Keep an eye on www.nz1000. co.nz for updates.

October 3rd 2015 Annual Pairs Trials Event;

Hosted by the Mount Egmont 4WD Club, this event will be held on Lower Durham Road, Inglewood. Scrutineer­ing will be at Buckthough­t Engineerin­g, 179 Dudley Road Inglewood, Friday 2nd October 3pm – 5pm. Find a mate with any class truck and compete together on the day. October 16-17 2015 Mainland Winch Challenge Series Round 4;

hosted by Norwest Club. Teams event aimed at well set up club trucks working in teams of three to complete all the stages over t wo days. Camping and facilities on- site. Cost $ 360 per team. November 14th & 15th 2015 Annual Ahuroa Volunteer Fire Brigade Fundraiser;

By Rodney Offroad Club. Club Shiny ( Option 1): With great scenery and covering a wide range of amazing farm lands, with mud and hills. This trip has some road sections – need Wof and Reg. Tuff Truck ( Option 2): Great mud and hill challenges with very small amount of roadwork. Suitable for non-Reg and Wof vehicles. $ 170.00 per vehicle and one passenger includes dinner and Sunday breakfast. Additional passengers 14 years and over $ 25 per person. Children under 14 years $ 15.00. Lunch options available at additional cost. Conditions of Entry include All drivers must be a current member of a 4WD club affiliated with NZFWDA; No dogs or firearms; All vehicles to be equipped with the following; Rated tow hooks, approved recovery strap; spade; mud tyres; fire extinguish­er 2kg; first aid kit. December 26 – January 15 2015 South Island Self Drive Tag along;

Led self-drive/ catered/ accommodat­ed expedition leaving Auckland 26 Dec, returning 15 Jan, covering mainly off road tracks in North West SI, Canterbury, Central Otago and more. Accommodat­ion is Camping and DOC Huts. Stunning scenery and tracks, suited to truck type 4WD. Eight years’ experience leading similar expedition­s and all tracks graded for difficulty and GPS co-ordinated. This is a “join when and where” type of safari and is self-paid ( no money to me). The full threeweek trip estimated to cost you around $ 2500, covering food, gas, rustic accommodat­ion and ferry crossing included for two people. Come and join husband and wife team. January 16-22 2016 Northland Kauri Coast Safari;

Hosted by the Kauri Coast 4WD Club. The 9th safari will be a six day event through some of the most spectacula­r beaches, scenery and landscape NZ, if not the world, has to offer. The proposed route takes you from Dargaville through some awesome beach and forest tracks following some of the early settlers' tracks surrounded by some of the most tranquil and peaceful countrysid­e you only find in Northland. We will be camping each night where our hosts will be some of the local schools and a golf course along the way. There’s time to stop along the way to catch your breath, relax and take in all that is offered. The safari is aimed at providing an enjoyable experience for the whole family. So come along and join us on a truly unique experience exploring the hidden treasures of Northland. Numbers limited to 40 vehicles. Update; Sorry, safari is now fully booked.
