New ad­he­sive from J-B Weld

J- B Weld made i ts name from de­vel­op­ing i ts fa­mous “cold weld­ing” prod­uct and has re­cently devel­oped a unique ad­he­sive that works with me­tals in ex­tremely hot ar­eas. Sim­ply called Ex­treme Heat, the new ad­he­sive is for­mu­lated to al­low re­pairs to iron, steel and metal in ex­tremely high tem­per­a­ture en­vi­ron­ments, up to 1300 de­grees C. Ex­treme Heat is one of four new J- B Weld prod­ucts be­ing in­tro­duced to the New Zealand mar­ket by i ts lo­cal dis­trib­u­tor, Grif­fiths Equip­ment. The oth­ers are; Su­per Weld, Plas­tic Bon­der and J- B Orig­i­nal. Ex­treme Heat is a sin­gle, part or­ganic, re­pair paste that sets in one hour and dries to ma­chine grey, and is func­tion­ally cured in 24 hours. It is wa­ter- based, non- flammable and con­tains no sol­vents or volatile or­ganic com­pounds, so it ’s safe to han­dle. When fully cured it be­come like the metal parts it is bond­ing and can be drilled, machined or sanded. It is ideal for re­pair­ing cracks, small gaps, seam con­nec­tions or holes in ex­haust man­i­folds, pipe con­nec­tions, muf­flers, cat­alytic con­vert­ers, and, yes, even en­gine blocks.
