-

J- B Weld made i ts name from developing i ts famous “cold welding” product and has recently developed a unique adhesive that works with metals in extremely hot areas. Simply called Extreme Heat, the new adhesive is formulated to allow repairs to iron, steel and metal in extremely high temperature environments, up to 1300 degrees C. Extreme Heat is one of four new J- B Weld products being introduced to the New Zealand market by i ts local distributor, Griffiths Equipment. The others are; Super Weld, Plastic Bonder and J- B Original. Extreme Heat is a single, part organic, repair paste that sets in one hour and dries to machine grey, and is functionally cured in 24 hours. It is water- based, non- flammable and contains no solvents or volatile organic compounds, so it ’s safe to handle. When fully cured it become like the metal parts it is bonding and can be drilled, machined or sanded. It is ideal for repairing cracks, small gaps, seam connections or holes in exhaust manifolds, pipe connections, mufflers, catalytic converters, and, yes, even engine blocks. It comes in a small screw-top container that holds 85 grams. For further information on all four new products and more, go to www. griffithsequipment.co. nz.
