July 28th-29th 2018 Offlimits 4WD Ice Buster;
at Waiouru Army training grounds. Dates confirmed. Ice Buster is an unique 4WD event. Unique because it’s held under the biggest North Island mountain in the middle of winter. A four wheel drive event that celebrates the diverse climate of the central plateau in true winter style. Saturday and Sunday are guided Safari days where we explore the features and some of the history of the 163,000 acres of the Waiouru Military Training area. This Safari is deliberately placed in midwinter to give you a chance to drive in real winter conditions. It is also placed at a time when there are few other events or distractions. An important notice: This year’s event will be limited to 50 vehicles spread among the three groups ( Club, Adventure, Dull Shinies and Shinies) that is an average of just 13 vehicles in each group. As with other events, your t wo- day entry fee includes accommodation in the barracks at Waiouru and all meals during your stay. Stay off site and camping options also available. Fellowship night with bar on Saturday night. The dates shown are confirmed and subject always to NZ Army requirements regarding army activities. All bookings must be made online. This guided tour is strictly limited in numbers and bookings are on a first received basis.

January 21st– 5th February 2019 4x4 Summer Escape series 2019;
An escape to the iconic South Island of NZ, on roads and tracks less travelled. This 4WD tour of 17 days is covering off- road tracks from Timaru down to Te Anau and back up via the West Coast finishing at Hanmer Springs. Expressions of interest are sought by interested persons to join this tour as places are limited to a small group for this self- camping, selfcatered 4x4 tour. Your vehicles must be low range and set up to cope with back country tracks, river and stream crossings, etc. Individuals will have the ability to cope with back country camping as part of a group.
