Hosted by Desert De­fend­ers Off Road Club, Ohakune. Spon­sored by Achilles Ra­dial. A Win­ter 4WD taga­long trip in the NZDF zones along the Desert Road. Ei­ther Satur­day or Sun­day. ( same trip both days so you choose which day to at­tend). Our runs are cruisey scenic trips, suit­able for shiny 4WDs or those who like a chal­lenge. How­ever they are not full on club truck, winch mud fests. Costs $ 125 per ve­hi­cle, The Kar­ioi Do­main is avail­able to for camp­ing as al­ways. The hall, kitchen, warm fire and show­ers will be open for your use and we are pro­vid­ing a won­der­ful din­ner on Satur­day night at the Sports Com­plex at ad­di­tional cost. Oc­to­ber 19th – 21st 2018 No­vaw­inch ‘Bat­tle of the Palace

– Teams Event 2018 at Pos­sum Palace, North­land. Nor­west OHV Club is pleased to an­nounce that we are host­ing the NO­VAW­INCH ‘Bat­tle of the Palace – Teams Event 2018’ over Labour week­end this Oc­to­ber at Pos­sum Palace in North­land. Open to all com­peti­tors who are mem­bers of the New Zealand 4wd As­so­ci­a­tion (NZFWDA). Ve­hi­cles will have to meet Nor­west OHV Club re­quire­ments and a min­i­mum re­quire­ment of ex­treme mud tyres. More in depth de­tails are in­cluded with the en­try forms. The event is limited to 12 teams. The cost per Team is $ 450 with a $ 50 dis­count to en­tries that are paid prior to the 1st Au­gust Gates open on Fri­day 19th Oct, com­pe­ti­tion runs over Sat 20th and Sun­day 21st Oc­to­ber (Mon­day 22nd is a hol­i­day). All Com­peti­tors are in with a chance of a spon­sor prize as drivers names are drawn ran­domly, so whether you’re first or last you could still walk away with the top prize. March 23rd – 24th 2019 Here­worth 4WD Sa­fari

– The Horonui 4WD Run; The Here­worth Old Boys’ As­so­ci­a­tion 8th bi-an­nual Here­worth 4WD trip will be based in and around Horonui, (15 min­utes south of Hast­ings) in the Hawke’s Bay cross­ing pri­vate farm­land across a va­ri­ety of ter­rain. Ac­com­mo­da­tion will be camp­ing in a cen­tral lo­ca­tion with ac­cess to wa­ter and toi­let fa­cil­i­ties. Num­bers are strictly limited so be in quick. Price in­cludes a t wo course meal Fri­day and Satur­day night, t wo full cooked break­fasts, t wo lunches, hot bev­er­ages at the camp­site, ac­cess to pri­vate prop­er­ties on des­ig­nated 4WD routes, camp­ing at a sin­gle camp­site ( treks will be in a clover- leaf fash­ion). Event reg­is­tra­tion starts on Fri­day af­ter­noon at Here­worth School with later ar­rivals able to regis­ter at base camp on Satur­day. All ve­hi­cles to have cur­rent War­rant of Fit­ness and a min­i­mum of good con­di­tion all ter­rain or bet­ter; have proper tow hooks front and rear ( rated for snatch tow­ing) or a tow bar with the tow ball re­moved ( all tow balls must be re­moved); must carry proper snatch strap ( limited num­ber avail­able for sale on reg­is­tra­tion), spade or shovel, fire ex­tin­guisher and first aid kit. Safety belts are to be worn at all times. Pric­ing $ 475 for one ve­hi­cle ( cov­ers t wo per­sons per ve­hi­cle) $ 180 for ev­ery ad­di­tional adult in the ve­hi­cle $ 80 for a child 12 years and un­der ( max­i­mum of four pas­sen­gers per ve­hi­cle).
