Pro Bars celebrates 10th anniversary
It’s Hamilton-based towbar specialist Pro Bars 10th birthday this month but you get the presents.
On Saturday 1st September the company set up 10 years ago, so Andrea and the team are having a party at its 28 King Street site, and everyone is welcome.
“That’s right,” says Andrea, “it will be 10 years to the day on September the first since Trent and I took over the business and we think that’s a milestone worth celebrating.”
To that end there will be fun for all the family with simulators and bouncy castles as well as giant Jenga and Connect Fourtype games.
All people who register on the day can go into a special Facebook photo competition, where you up load photos of the day onto Facebook and the best photo wins a $ 100 petrol voucher.
Radio Hauraki is also running a special backing competition from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Anyone who installs a towbar, CoF towbar or A-frame, or buys a car dolly will go into the draw to ‘ try your luck’ at backing with two prizes of $ 500 vouchers up for grabs.
Pro Bars is located at 28 King Street, Frankton, Hamilton. There is parking for cars, utes etc on King Street and parking for Motorhomes on the corner of King and High Streets ( High Street entrance)
The A-frames, towbars, CoF towbars and car dollys that are Pro Bars’ stock in trade will be on display. Plus there will be some very worthwhile 10th anniversary specials available on the day.
Trent and Andrea are justifiably proud of the business they have nurtured and grown since taking over the reins on 1st September 2008, just before the GFC hit.

The business now has a team of six looking after the towing needs of customers from near and far.
No job is too big or too small for Pro Bars thanks to having certified welding staff plus an auto electrician on site.
Pro Bars is the local distributor and installer for RV Products/ Andersen Products such as EZ Hitch, and Alumistinger chocks and tuff pads, and is – literally – a one stop shop for NZMCA members – offering everything from CoF towbars for motorhome to A-frame and car dollys as well as towbars for caravans including Al-Ko towballs.
Loan cars are available while your own vehicle is being worked on, and as well as achieving Code of Ethics standards as a member of the MTA, Pro Bars is Health & Safety Compliant through Employsure.
Pro Bars is also the only towbar manufacturer in the Waikato which accepts Bartercard as a payment option.
