4WD; raising funds for the Moawhango School. This year’s Moawhango School and Community Scenic 4WD is locked for 23rd November 2019. We have been given an incredibly exciting opportunity to travel across Ngamatea Station for the first time in our tour’s history. Manawatu 4wd Club Annual Fundraising tag along event;
Hosted by the Manawatu 4WD Club with an ambitious target to raise $ 20,000 and support of Canteen NZ and Surf Lifesaving Palmerston North. The trip will drive over historic tracks at the top of the Waitotara Valley Road. Camping is available from
Friday to Monday. Potable water is available on site.
We have the support of the Ngamatapouri community with approximately 200 km of tracks that have been driven over and checked. Vehicles will be divided into at least six groups to keep it manageable and more fun.
This is a tag-a-long type event but there could still be the odd place to challenge everyone.
It will include a visit to the historic homestead of Rewi Alley and a drive through virgin native bush.

4x4 Summer Escape series 2020; An escape to the iconic South Island of NZ, on roads and tracks less travelled. This 4x4 tour of 14 days is covering off road tracks from South Canterbury down to Te Anau and back up via the central South island finishing at Tekapo. Expressions of interest are sought by interested persons to join this tour as places are limited to a small group for this self camping self catered
4x4 tour. Your vehicles must be low range and setup to cope with back country tracks, river and stream crossings etc. Individuals will have the ability cope with back country camping as part of a group. Suzuki Extreme 4x4 Challenge;
Back for the 6th year this is the only event of its kind in NZ and is created and hosted by CowperTrucks. Held at 2278 SH3 Turakina it will feature the top 10 drivers from the National 4x4 Trials season. Again the top 10 drivers and vehicles will get automatic entry through the new drivers qualification system meaning only the best from the NZFWDA National series drivers & 4x4 Trials competition vehicles in the country are eligible. With awesome spectator viewing, live commentary, steep hills, vertical banks, massive jumps, mud and speed, combined with good food, easy spectator viewing and live commentary all makes for a fantastic day out with mates and family.
