Rhino- Rack have been in the roof rack business in excess of 25 years and as a result know a bit about how to safely and economically utilise the roof top of a vehicle for added luggage capacity.
There are different rack solutions for each and every vehicle and individual user’s requirements.
Trades people, for example, have distinctly different requirements to those of a recreational user or a camper venturing either moderately or more seriously into the outdoors.
While there are Rhino-Rack roof rack products for virtually every vehicle need out there the vehicle types the company excels at setting up are those that, coincidently, are the most popular on the road today.
Double cab utes, multi-seat 4WD wagons or SUV vehicles are those being fit ted out each and every day by Rhino- Rack stores all over the country.
With the summer months fast approaching us and with holiday time nearing the classic Kiwi getaway involves filling the car ( or wagon) to the gunnels and hitting the road, often it seems more and more the ‘ back of nowhere’ being a popular chosen destination.

Double cab ute options
The classic double cab ute being set- up for combined luggage carrying along with the use of a roof top tent is a frequently required fit.
Roof racks can be applied to either a cab or to a canopy
( or both ) to enable this. Sometimes no canopy is involved, and instead the rear tub/ deck is racked up. One surface will likely accommodate a tent with the other accepting some of the gear too cumbersome or dangerous to go inside. Roof racks will be utilised to carry the likes of Hi- lif t Jacks, LPG bottles, recovery gear, tools, luggage and other equipment etc.
Alongside of this sort of gear can be mounted any one of several shade products that Rhino- Rack do to make the camping experience that much more pleasant and memorable.
The Rhino- Rack Batwing 270 degree awning is a hugely popular accessory as is the Rhino- Rack Sunseeker pull out awning. These can themselves be accessorised with extensions, side panels and even access doors.
SUVs & wagons
SUV vehicles, being largely 4WD station wagons, differ to utes in that the load surface is over one plane and can therefore cover more area. Bear in mind the load rating capability of any vehicle is determined by the vehicle manufacturer. Rhino- Rack’s knowledge of these limitations enables them to tailor systems based on this and the vehicle user’s needs.
Similar to that of utes the array of gear able to be carried is vast, with luggage often the prerequisite, but not limited given the array of toys we all have these days. Kayaks and bikes are a constant addition and can be easily accommodated with a variety of cleverly designed accessories.

The Oztent RX- 5 is a tworoom, full height, fully waterproof tent built on the strong base of the original 30 second tent.
The RX- 5 comes as a full package and has plenty of new features including a zip-in entry floor which fully encloses the entry area when used in conjunction with the Complete Panel System, and a SkyMesh skylight built into the roof of the main tent that unzips to give you an insectfree full view of the stars.

Red belly Hot-spot(s)

Rooftop Tent
Why bother looking for a hotel or a camping ground when you can have a rooftop tent attached to your vehicle which only takes a few minutes to set up and needs lit tle more room than your vehicle?
Ironman’s luxury rooftop tent has a number of features including a raised “climate cover” flysheet to control temperature and reduce condensation, plus a pop up window awning and fly screen windows, all made from a premium quality waterproof, breathable rip stop material.
The rooftop tent floor is made from lightweight aluminium and is insulated. To aid a good night sleep, it comes complete with a luxury 65mm high density foam mattress.
Access is via a retractable aluminium ladder with the entrance under cover to keep you dry on those wet days.
When set up the tent measures 1.4m wide by 2.4m long and 1.3m high. Each rooftop tent comes complete with tools and instructions and is ‘easy-as’ to set up and use.

Instant Awnings
Also available from Ironman 4x4 are instant awnings. These are made from a waterproof, breathable rip stop canvas material with 100 percent UV protection and mould resistance.
Guy ropes and pegs are included with the awnings quick to erect with strong self standing extendable aluminium legs. These awnings mount directly to most roof racks and comes in four different sizes. Included in the line-up is a 2.0m long by 1.4m wide awning to go across the back of a vehicle as well as three sizes to go along the side of the vehicle; 2m long x 2.5m out, 2.5m long x 2m out and 2.5m long by 2.5m out. Ice Cube Fridge/ Freezers

Ironman Ice Cube Fridge/
Freezers are designed to operate on 12/ 24 Volt or 100240 Volt systems making them ideal for camping, 4WDing and caravanning.
The electronically-controlled compressor has a cooling capacity of -18°C and can be used as a fridge or freezer. Ironman 4x4 Ice Cubes have a low current draw ( 0.7Ah/ hour at ambient temp. of 20°C and interior temp. of 5°C) and come with a five-year compressor and three-year component warranty.
