LAND ROVER’S LEGO DEFENDER DEAL

-

If you thought that the boxy-ish lines of Land Rover’s new Defender were a sitter for a Lego build, well, let’s put it this way… you were not wrong.

In fact, at the official launch of the all-new model (way back in September last year!) Land Rover unveiled a special colab with Lego, calling the new 2,573-piece ‘Lego Technic Land Rover Defender kit of an automotive icon you can build at home.’

Developed in partnership with Land Rover and launched alongside the new Defender at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the resultant model echoes the new Defender with a host of realistic elements and functions, including authentic-looking body panels and rims, four-wheel drive with three differentials, fully independent suspension, a working winch and Lego Technic’s most sophisticated gearbox yet – all designed to provide an engrossing and rewarding building experience for car lovers and Lego fans alike.

As Niels Henrik Horsted, Marketing Director at the

Lego Group, said: “I’m very excited about this new model. Together with Land Rover, we’ve blended elements, design and innovative engineering into a set that shows the boundless creativity of Lego play, and that with Lego Technic you can build for real.”

If you’d like one of your own - either the real thing or the Lego Technic kit version – your local Land Rover dealer should be able to oblige.
