Go getta Grabber

-

The Grabber GT tyre has arrived in New Zealand – and it's looking like it is going to be a real winner with Kiwi drivers.

Available in a range of sizes to suit modern SUV and ute fitments, the Grabber GT from General Tire is a truly versatile highway tyre; genuinely refined on city motorways and seriously capable when you hit the challenging and twisting roads that never seem to be very far out of town.

Founded in the USA over 100 years ago, General has been best known in New Zealand for its rugged All Terrain and Mud Traction tyre range, so a roadgoing SUV and ute tyre is a slightly new departure. But while the GT has arrived here relatively recently, it’s already earned its stripes with drivers around the world and feedback so far indicates it’s going to be equally as popular in New Zealand.

Says the General Tire distributor for New Zealand, “General has always delivered very long tread wear and really good driving control, so we expected that the Grabber GT would work well in NZ. But it wasn’t until we put them to the test on really challenging roads around the country that we realised that were on to a real winner. We were blown away by the feedback we received.”

One of the test users who does a regular commute on challenging regional roads made special mention of the Grabber GT’S performance in wet conditions, commenting, “The first thing I noticed was how well they hung on in the wet. You expect new tyres to hang on in the dry, but this really surprised me. They transformed the way the ute handled.”

Citing comments from other test users that noted the GT’S capable road handling and very quiet highway running, General Tire’s distributor is confident to recommend it as a tyre that really gives you driving confidence, noting: “The GT is a really smart-looking tread pattern that complements any modern vehicle. But it’s the feedback on its highway performance that has us really excited – it really is as good as it looks.”

A smart choice whether you’re choosing tyre for the vehicle you drive, or you’re a corporate fleet manager looking to keep your drivers safer.
