TOUCHLESS WHEEL ALIGNMENT

One of the team within the NZV8 offices recently took the leap of purchasing his first classic, a ’67 Mustang fastback. It was a step into the unknown for our staffer, so, obviously, every creak, knock, or hum was enough to make him freak out. One of his immediate concerns, apart from the ongoing fear of every spare penny being sunk into his new pride and joy, was the tyre wear on the inside edge of the rears. He knew when he bought the car that he’d be replacing the tyres, so he wasn’t too worried about that expense; he just wanted to make sure the irregular wear wouldn’t continue on the newies. Of course, our advice was simple: get a bloody good wheel alignment. We had heard about some new touchless alignment equipment at Tech Drive Suspension and Tyres in Auckland’s Grey Lynn, so we suggested he head along to try out the company’s new gear, operated by industry old hand Chris Rawson.
