Smits Group, New Zealand’s importer of Meguiar’s Car Care products and many other leading brands, has for many years organized the Charity Car Cruise to CRC Speedshow. For 2017, it’s changing things a bit by adding the Rislone Big Rig Truckin’ for Charity cruise. The event aims to raise money for the Starship Foundation and will kick off at 8.30am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Smits Group headquarters, 65 Greenmount Drive, East Tamaki, Auckland, whence it will take the scenic (truckfriendly) route to CRC Speedshow at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds. Registration is $50 per truck, and that includes entry to the Rislone Big Rig Truck Show and entry to the CRC Speedshow for the driver and all passengers, as well as a bunch of goodies and a gift voucher. All proceeds from the registration fees will go to the Starship Foundation. Don’t have a truck? Then just bring your custom or classic car along and cruise as usual, meeting at the same time and in the place the day after — Sunday, July 23.
