Meech up to fourth

Yachting: Olympic medallist Sam Meech has quickly found his touch at the World Cup regatta in France, surging into fourth place on the second day.

Kiwi Meech won the only race in the Laser class in Hyeres yesterday to climb seven places. He sits one point outside the top three and just five behind Cypriot Pavlos Kontides, who won both of the first two races on the opening day. — NZN
