Fire station facelift

Dunedin’s central fire station will get a new lick of paint for the first time in more than a decade.

Senior Station Officer Kerry McNamara said scaffoldin­g on the Castle St side of the 86yearold building started to go up on Monday.

He did not know how long the maintenanc­e would take, but was pleased the frequently photograph­ed building would get a facelift.
