Labour hire firm fined
Hamilton: A labour hire company working on Waikato asparagus farms has been caught failing to keep records twice, costing it more than $58,000.
The Employment Relations Authority (ERA) penalised BBS Horticulture Ltd $57,000 for failing to keep accurate employment agreements, wage records, time sheets and leave records, and about $1800 in arrears to former employees.
BBS Horticulture is now on a twoyear standdown period restricting access to migrant labour. — NZN
