AS Labour grows from strength to strength now that Jacinda has revealed some wellcosted, humane policies to protect our vulnerable people and our environment, and pronounced that neoliberalism has failed, we should watch for a backlash. I expect fearmongering from National, like the absurd claim a water charge might cost farmers $50,000, and some dirty politics. We need skepticism when this stuff emerges.

NICOLA DallyPaki was treated nearly as badly as her son by Starship Hospital and Auckland Women’s Refuge. Not one person put their hand out to help her when she was in a desperate position. We give money to Starship and Women’s Refuge for people like her to help show her the way, but I will never give money again. The way this woman and children were treated was just a disgrace.
