How could anyone call Trump ‘good’?

-

I NEARLY choked on my breakfast this morning reading L. McConnell’s letter (ODT, 19.2.18) asserting that Donald Trump and Mike Pence ‘‘are not bad men’’.

I don’t know enough about Mr Pence to comment but let’s look at President Trump.

He boasts about sexually abusing women, actively supports white supremacists and lies like a flat fish.

How could any reasonable person describe him as a good man?

WELL done, Joe, on your opinion (master) piece (ODT, 15.2.18).

Entertaining, informative, realistic. Thanks for articulating what many of us believe, with your usual dose of intellect and wit. Mike Hammond

I HAVE to disagree with L. McConnell’s opinion (ODT, 19.2.18) of Joe Bennett’s opinion piece on President Trump.

As an American with long experience of Mr Trump’s many misdeeds, I think the column was a perfect description of the man. I hope he will eventually be impeached, even though Mike Pence will not be much better.

Republicans in the majority legislatures haven’t done so yet because they know Mr Trump will sign anything they pass under his nose. He is out of his element and holding together by the slimmest of margins and with the help of people around him — all the while making their lives and jobs difficult.

Comrade Trump owes the criminal Russian oligarchs for bailing out his speculative realestate ventures while laundering their illgotten money. He has the personality of a 6yearold and cares nothing for anyone but himself. Kevin R. Burke
