The Hanson name has been around in Dunedin since the 1920s, beginning as a transport company, then sales, removals, and now vehicle hire.
Jarrod began in removals when he was 16, and has guided the business towards what it is now.
‘‘It was a very logical progression,’’ he says. ‘‘It reflects the needs of our customers. I could see there was going to be more demand for the self-moving market.’’
You can be sure you’re driving something well maintained, as Hanson Rental Vehicles won’t hire anything out that they wouldn’t be happy to drive as their own.
They source many vehicles direct from Japan, meeting the demands of the market with models not available in New Zealand.
Only some bigger trucks require a heavy vehicle license, so most of the Hanson Rental Vehicles fleet can be driven on a standard license.
Other aspects of their fleet include a range of trailers, and the Little Flick and Mrs Flick vehicles for school fairs.
